You're a private guy, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that at all!! You could have easily said 'you guys know that I'm a private guy so I don't know if I'll be sharing any gifts that the misses brings home unless it's my new porche'.

The way you say some things are condescending and pompous.... at times.
Dang Sergio... I know you're a blurt-it-out-at-any-cost kindda guy, but to do it on a guy's Birthday thread is just uncool. Why you feel the need to open a thread about Roff just to diss the guy?? Be a man, apologize, agree to disagree and move on.

Belated happy birthday, Roff!

Don't wish to add fuel to the fire, and please bear in mind I'm impartial as I know none of you and have been here a short time, but why should Roff have to rephrase his comments to please you, Serge? I don't find his use of language pompous or derogatory in any way and I guess most people on this forum don't. Even if I did, I would move on without comment and ignore!

There's only one person I'm aware of who so persistently and memorably brings this issue up, so maybe the problem does not lie with Roff.

As I said, I know none of you and have no personal allegiances, but this (although entertaining for the wrong reasons) is getting tired.

Maybe you are joking/say what you feel or whatever (as I guess you are entitled to on a public forum) but it's unnecessary and particularly poor form on someone's birthday thread.
