I have noticed that this and other watch sites have a large number of Canadians, and I got to thinking (watch out).

I dont really know why this has struck me, but I am curious why there are so many neighbors to the north who are WIS.

Regarding Breilting in particular, Is ther some sort of distribution channel or pricing model that facilitates this or are all cannucks just incredibly timely and stylish?

Anybody have any theories on this?

Well clearly Canadians are smart, witty, charming, incredibly handsome and modest beyond belief.

There is a major chain that stocks Breitling, Zenith, Oris and some others and has a presence in most major cities. There are also chain jewellers that carry Tag, Omega and (in larger ones) JLC.

Remember also that in Canada a very large percentage of the population is in the major cities - the top 25 cities in Canada in terms of population account for about 50% of the total population, and if you extend that to the hinterlands for those cities then you are likely up around 90% so a greater percentage of the population has access to these places.

Finally, the country is fairly wealthy - not recession proof by any stretch, but it's a natural resource rich country so has a lot of commodity industries, and less reliance on manufacturing (except parts of Ontario). It also has a large high tech industry so a fair amount of 'young wealth'.
