I would be glad to try and get you a watch mag or two if you would like.

Thanks man, I would definitely take you up on that but I'll be home in about three weeks. With the way mail is here I'd already be home before it got here. Thanks again. :lingsrock:

i went through this same predicament a couple of years ago and narrowed it down to watchtime and revolution (see links below). revolution ended up being very expensive and i think they only had 3 issues per year compared to watchtime's six. i ended up getting a subscription with watchtime and am very happy with it. good luck!

I love Govberg as much as the next guy, but quite honestly, Watch Time IMO is a better magazine. It has better and more informative articles. It relies more on content than fancy photographs and thicker paper. I've bought IW in the past, but there seems to be less to read about, or just less reading that I am interested in.

Thanks guys this has really helped me out!! I will dig some this evening and hopefully make a decision tonight. I am tempted to do 2 mags but know I only have so much time with reading this forum, ablogtoread, and George's blog.

Thanks again!

"I spent 8 years in the Navy and I called it a NEX when I first got to Iraq and people looked at me like I had 2 heads."

-Shows how old I am....terms obviously change a bit, don't they? Funny reading that they had an Exchange in Iraq...I just had a couple of beers with some Ranger types whom I served with way back in the first Gulf dust-up, and they told me how some of the 'Camps' had a Burger King, etc. Holy crap! A BK in a war zone? I BW'd some time in Afghanistan a couple of years ago, and we had nothing of the sort. Sounds as if combat zones have become even more commercialized than reps trying to sell the latest Rhino armor....

"Gym PX stands for Post Exchange, I think the Air Force actually calls it a BX, Base Exchange and I have to idea what the Marines call it, I think they just at the building and take their shit."

-Ahhh, Uncle Sam's Misguided Children....Thing is, they probably would occupy an Exchange. And I wouldn't lift a finger to stop 'em!

Yeah, I'm in Baghdad right now and other than the occasional rocket landing somewhere on the base and the fact that it's a damn desert, it isn't that bad. Granted I'm a contractor and don't ever have to do the war thing, running around with a gun shooting at people and getting shot at, I'm sure it sucks for those dudes no matter what they have to eat. And the BK here really isn't like the BK at home, I have to idea what those burgers are made of but I don't recommend them. The Cinnabon on the other hand is outstanding.

I'm another who prefers Watch Time over IW, great articles and reviews, just a great read. My only complaint is the 6 issues a year dilemma; if only they would make an issue available monthly :(

Hope to receive them both very soon!
