OK so I need to say this to someone and I dont dare share this with my friends, they would laugh me out of the country!

So my wife wanted to see Mama Mia the original musical on Broadway and I go ahead and buy the tickets and plan to suffer through the ordeal for her sake, small price to pay for the mother of my children.

Well as I went in expecting over 2 hours of mind numbing boredom, I was surprised to find that I had totally underestimated broad way shows, I suppouse the stereotype of them being targeted towards ladies and homosexuals sunk in, and what with me being such a manly man and all (LOL)

But I have to say the talent and preparation these people showcased blew me away! I am usually interested in watching a movie, maybe attending the Orchestra or the Opera if in the mood, but I think I will be attending a Broadway show whenever I am in town!

I had a similar revelation, though fortunately I was in my early twenties so have not been deprived since then  .

A point you must consider is that you watched a broadway show on Broadway in NYC -- venue for the world's equation-of-time-complication (in WIS-speak) equivalent top shows' producers & casts -- and that's probably why you enjoyed it so much.

But I still wouldn't go around my buddies and ask if they'd seen the latest broadway show though...

I know how you feel, I took my wife, then my girlfriend, to see Beauty and the Beast (don't laugh) on Broadway about 9 years ago and it was actually pretty good. I have to agree though, the experience of not the show but actually being on Broadway in the greatest city in the world, guess where I'm originally from, makes it that much better. More recently we saw Grease down in Norfolk, VA and I even liked that and I hate that damn movie.

Congrats on losing your American Musical Theater virginity! One of the very few areas of the arts created in the US.

Care for a lovely pair of pink boxer shorts??
