I am a long time Panerai guy, had several over the last 7 years, before that a couple of Rolex subs, but those seem like kids watches now that I wear nothing smaller than 44mm ;)
Anyway, my beautiful wife bought this first Breitling for me off ebay as a gift, a new seawolf stainless, complete box/papers, etc. I'd say a 99% watch as it was never worn and came form a dealer power seller on the bay.
Only thing is it only came on a rubber strap, its the one with BREITLING spelled out on it, is that the pro diver rubber?
I assumed the watch would come on bracelet with rubber in the box but alas, no bracelet.

Is that normal or is it possible the original owner/dealer kept the bracelet to resell?
Will my local dealer, a Bailey Banks & Biddle, be able to sell me just the bracelet?

Hi and welcome. Your wife has great taste in gifts. The Seawolf is a great watch and all of the Aeromarine series look great on black rubber and the Seawolf is no exception. Yes the strap you have is the Diver Pro however you shouldn't be concerned that the dealer kept the bracelet. The watch probably came with the Diver Pro alone. Typically when you buy the head of the watch you choose which band, bracelet etc you want with it. In this case they picked the Diver Pro which is a great strap.

Your local AD, Bailey Banks & Biddle can fix you up with other straps, bands or bracelets without a problem. :D

You can buy the bracelet from your dealer. Should cost around $500.

My Seawolf came with the Diver Pro as well. I put the Ocean Racer on it, though. That is also a great look. I think it is about $450. Breitling is one of the companies that doesn't provide multi straps/bracelets with a watch. They price the watch according to which strap is comes with. Here is a link to some pics I posted of the Seawolf on an Ocean Racer:

I also tried on a Seawolf the other day at my AD, which had the PRO II bracelet, as I am thinking of getting that in the future. It looks great also. The only thing I will say, though, is that the black straps tend to bring out the black on the dial better than the PRO II. I find that because the Seawolf has a matte finish, the black on the dial tends to look a bit like dark grey or charcoal with the PRO II.
Cheers,
Carl

Thanks for the info guy, appreciate it for the peace of mind.
But $500 for the bracelet, DAM, a little steep for the steel ;)
The last time I priced the metal bracelet for a Panerai it was over a grand so I guess its all relative.
I'm used to the way Panerai does it, if the watch comes on bracelet they'll typically throw the rubber or leather in with it as well.

Most Breitlings come on a bracelet as well, but there are always options to go other routes.

Well, it´s about the same for the Windriders or Navitimers too. A bracelet would be about 1000€. So for the Aeromarines SS 500$ (400€) is quite reasonable.
