When into a local Dealer today to take a browse and get some ball park prices on a few items and while there asked to see a Ocean Racer and that's where it happened. Sales rep told me to hand her my watch so that she can have it fitted with a Ocean racer so that I can get a true appreciation of the look. Yup, that was it! immediately fell in love and couldn't or should I say wouldn't allow her to take it off. So in on the bracelet and out on the Ocean Racer...

Looks great....the blue OR goes PERFECT with that blue dial! I've said it before and I'll say it again...I LOVE THE OCEAN RACER! And to think, I used to HATE rubber on my watches.

Looks great! Very nice combo.
All Ling stuff has a way of doing that and AD:s are making the most of it. Once you put them on you never want to take them of again. Maybe they at Breitling put some invisible hypnotising fairy dust on them that weakens our will and we become powerless to resist the call??? As long as you walk away with a stupid smile on your face for weeks, I think it´s win win.

The blue/blue looks great. I've got the black to go with a black Skyland, and I wear it all summer long it's perfect in the heat. If spending 400 bucks on a sweet Ocean Racer strap is the biggest mistake you made yesterday, you had a good day! Congrats.

Polenzo my friend has just purchased the black baton super avenger with the black ocean racer strap, i was absolutely gobsmacked by how it looked.

Arguably one of the nicest looking combo's out there.

Has anyone got any pics of one with a white faced SA??

I think that you should thank her! You got a great deal. I have never seen that combo before, but it really does look outstanding! The blue on blue is very unique, and it really brings out the blue on the dial very very well.
That actually is a very good sales technique, but one could say very good service as well. After all, nobody is forcing you to take the strap, although when it looks as good as that you might even call it brute force!
I think the OR is one of the best straps going.
Man, I keep going back to your pics and having another look. It was lucky that they had one in stock as well. When I ordered one last year, it took months to get here. I know a couple of other guys on this forum who are having to wait as well.

Carl, your absolute right on both counts the combination if just amazing. On top of that it looks like she really did take care of me as promised in terms of the price. I'm seriously considering a Navitimer World and will certainly give her the opportunity to win that business after this experience.




Yup, after seeing it on the strap she might as well just reach in my pocket for the wallet and the credit card - was sold.

I guess its also about the experience. The willingness to fit it on the watch so that I can get a real appreciation of the look, and when I agreed to purchase it she asked the watchmaker to properly size it there and then so that I didn't end up taking it home and cutting off too much "Best get it right while your here".
