The instruction manual for my new Avenger Skyland says that it designed to "operate smoothly between 0 and 50 C." It is very quickly approaching 0 here and will remain there and probably reach -20 C before spring. Of course the watch will be next to my skin and under coats so it won't get that cold. I guess my question is what would be the real problems of wearing it in cold weather and could any permanent damage be done? I'm sure there a many people in colder climates than mine with many more years experience. Have you noticed any "unsmooth" operations in low temperatures with your watches, automatic or otherwise?

Good question, but I think if your wrist is in -20 degrees along with your watch, your watch would be stuck to your hand and tearing your skin off and your'd likely be in a lot of trouble lol

I would be interested to find out how a Ling would work in -20 too.. maybe someone here knows doesn't get that cold out here.. -3 celcius maybe tops usually during the day.
