Post subject:  Breitling on sale at Macy's today...
Macy's has Breitlings on sale at 25% off and an additional 20% off for opening a Macy's account. I definitely don't need another watch but I couldn't resist and got a Steelfish for less than $1900 after taxes!

We have one of the few if not the only Macy's that is a Breitling AD, it happened when Macy's bought out a local department store that was a Breitling AD. I was eyeing up a Skyracer, but the Steelfish is already more than I should be spending right now. Besides, the Steelfish is my favorite Breitling after my Skyland Avenger.

Great purchase. Looks like they're having a friends and family sale from this Wed thru May 4, 25% off. Time to see what's in stock!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I got one year with no interest also. So, at about $150 a month, I'll have it all paid up by the time the "no interest" period ends. :mrgreen:

I live in Hawaii, I'm not sure that there are any other Macy's that are Breitling ADs. When I had mentioned this on another forum a while back one poster didn't believe that Macy's is a Breitling AD until he checked the Breitling website. Macy's bought out a local department store chain; that chain had spun off a separate storefront that sold higher end jewelry and watches, including Breitling. When Macy's bought out the chain, they kept everything status quo including the separate jewelry store.

I got mine at Ala Moana Shopping Center, at the Macy's Jewel Gallery. AFAIK, that's the only Macy's that's a Breitling AD - that happened when Macy's bought out Liberty House. I know none of the Macy's main stores on Oahu carry Breitling, they only have TAG, Rado and Swiss Army. I don't know the situation on the outer islands, though.

Just to be clear before you run out to Macy's, the Breitling sale starts on Wednesday the 29th but the pre-sale started earlier so many of the desirable pieces may already be sold. Also, the 20% for opening an account was Saturday only - if you go today, there may be some token 10% or something or maybe no discount at all.

I live in Chicago and called the Hawaii store to place an order. I signed up for store credit at a Macy's in my hometown and also told the store that it was for the friends and family promo. I was looking at a Steelfish and a Skyland, they didn't have either in stock but said they could order it for me. I ended up going with the Steelfish for just under $1900 after all the discounts! The Skyland was just over $2800, but I felt it was too blingy for me. By the way, those prices include tax and delivery! What a deal! It's my first Breitling and I'm super excited! The friends and family is only until May 4th, but the 20% store credit card sign-up discount was only for today and yesterday. They said I should get my watch in about two weeks. Can't wait!
