Glad you're settling in here. Without doubt, this is the friendliest forum I've ever joined.

Welcome! It's certainly the best of any forum, about any subject, that I have ever belonged to! I have even made a few good friends here, some of whom I have met in person.
Looks like I will not be a Breitling owner for long, but I am just glad that that will not ban me from this wonderful forum!
Enjoy your time spent here!
Cheers,
Carl

As a matter of fact yes, that is my intention anyway. I'm on my way to an Omega AD today, as there is a fellow there who may want to buy it. He wants to see it with the Ocean Racer strap on, the last time I was there it had a leather strap.
I am going to try and sell it locally first, as I am in no rush. It just makes it a lot easier dealing face-to-face, and without the hassles of shipping, PayPal, currency conversion etc.
Cheers,
Carl

The key with this forum is that we are all (reasonably) successful individuals that share a passion. Interestingly, this seems to span brands and even price points, which can be unusual. You rarely see that "pissing match" that can happen when one owner of one company asserts their dominance over another. Just a bunch of solid people here, a breath of fresh air.

Hey peezie!
Could not have said it better myself.

Hey Alphabet ABC,
Already have my watch on hold. My PayPal money will clear into my account in a few days, so when I pick it up will post pics. I saw - again - the Aqua Terra 8500 with Tech-Grey dial. Wow! I don't know if it's too dressy for everyday, ie shorts, jeans etc. but what the Hell! It is such a beautiful work of art.
Cheers,
Carl

I think Breitling owners are a good bunch. Not too serious, but still enjoy a good watch. We have no problems with most other brands, and do not hesitate to recommend another brand over a B if thats how we feel. Just take the PO or SOH thread; you would think the PO would get bashed, but thats not the case. We like to get our moneys worth, and appreciate the fact that we've found a watch that suits our style and budget precisely. The breitling forum at WUS is just as good as this one, which I cant say for many of the other brand forums. Admin and the mods also do a good job of keeping this place laid back and fun. Some other places are about profits first, which hurts the atmosphere.

!!

Well said RJ! It's not surprising to me that Breitling owners share certain similarities, we all look for similar traits in our favourite timepiece so it's not surprising that we would also share some similar characteristics outside it as well.

This is the only forum I've ever joined and I really enjoy my time here. it's a fantastic place to be. I also appreciate that you don't get crucified for inexperience - makes it a great place to learn, ask questions and share.

Great thread!

It is OK, but I find this one more open and less vain.

You both sum up this Forum so well. Very well put and I think you express the feelings of most, if not all people here.

@AlphabetABC
Friendly advice.
It's easier to post and read when you are answering or referring to one or more members if it's written in one post.
I saw 5 or 6 of your posts in a row somewhere.
