Post subject: | Why Not Buy a Chrono Super Ocean? |
I am strongly debating purchasing a Chrono Super Ocean instead of the Chronomat Evolution. The primary reason is that the price is nearly $1000 USD less. However, in reading this forum it seems that most people are generally opposed to the Chrono Super Ocean. Why is this? I assume that the primary reason is the aesthetic difference between the 41mm Super Ocean and the 44mm Evo. Any other factors? I would love to hear a few opinions before I take the plunge. Thanks! |

My Opinion on the matter: Both watches are very nice, cool Lings. However, if you have the $, The Chronomat Evo is a nicer watch overall. The bracelet is nicer, the dial is prettier, and the case is larger. Some people will argue that the SuperOcean chrono is a more functional looking tool watch and has the day of the week, which is true. In the end its really only your own preference that matters. The CSO is 42mm, the EVO is 44mm. The Evo has a nicer bracelet than the CSO, those are the facts, everything else is subjective. |

Personally I like the CSO too. I like the blue dial/pro II bracelet combination. It certainly looked good on my wrist when I tried it on at my nearest AD. That's not to say that I don't like the evo (and granted the pilot bracelet is much better quality than the PII) ![]() IMHO the CSO is much more understated than the evo, and not just because of the size. |

![]() IMHO the CSO is much more understated than the evo, and not just because of the size. The CSO is a fab watch, a friend of mine has one and that's the only reason I've not got one. But I'm biased because I prefer the chunkier looking utility type watches. The Evo is more subtle and smooth and indeed has a nice bracelet, but I've tried several on and I don't get a warm fuzze feeling from them. If you like the CSO style I would urge you to look into the new Skyland, it's even more chunkier and solid looking than the CSO and is a similar price. It's even larger than the Evo. But at the end of the day you can't go far wrong all Lings look good on. |

I think the Super Avenger is the sweetest looking Breitling made right now. FULL LING too! ~Brian |
