Huh... so I'm doing more research for a possible purchase--one of the things I'm considering is a two-tone Cockpit Lady for the wife, something to make nice with her as I get a Ling for me, too. And I'm noticing that for the pilot bracelets, that there is only ONE 16mm two-tone pilot band listed, (at $2500, too, just for the band. HOLY CRAP!!!! That's a decent price for a whole watch, much less just a BRACELET!!)
but for the 20/22mm, there are two pilot bracelets listed, a two-tone "yellow and steel" and two-tone "rose and steel".Does that mean that for the 16mm, you get the exact same bracelet, whether the watch itself is steel and yellow gold, or steel and ROSE gold? If so, what is the bracelet then, yellow or rose?
I guess it begs another question, too--why is there such a big price difference between the Professional bracelet and the Pilot bracelet? Even if you compare, say, 22mm steel Professional to 22mm steel Pilot, you're talking $500 vs. $1300.
Which brings up even another question in my mind--can you put a Pilot bracelet on a watch that Breitling puts a Professional on as standard, or vice versa? (or Navitimer bracelet, etc...)
Lastly, the "Vintage" section of the Breitling price list, does that mean discontinued models that are still available for order/purchase? Or is it just "gee whiz" pricing of what older models used to cost a few years ago? (i.e. on page 26, a Cockpit Lady model "B7135612/A583 Two-Tone MOP w/11 diamonds" is listed, and I can't figure out if this is still available for purchase. I also am curious as two what this would look like, as it's got to be different than the current Cockpit Lady with 8 diamonds)
