Hello All, I am new to this awesome forum and have searched the forum for answers with no such luck. I have an SA with the diamond bezel. It is a very top heavy watch and I am finding it difficult to keep it in my watch winder. When I have it on the C setting, which turns the watch Counter Clockwise and Clockwise after about 10 minutes I find it face down on the counter as it falls out of the watch winder. I am trying to find a watch winder that will handle that heavy of a watch and look nice. I want one that runs on batteries. The current winder I have is a Wolf Designs. It is a very nice winder, but not for me. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. |

 Great to have you here.I know you have searched the threads but I found this one that is very similar to the problem you are having so I thought I would post the link just in case you had not seen it. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4567&p=35579&hilit=credit+card#p35579 Really no great solution to your dilema on the thread other than than jury rigging the Wolf but maybe some members may have other brands that work well with the SA. I have the same problem with my SA and winder (not a Wolf) and ended up having to wrap a number of elastic bands around the pillow. The elastics makes the pillow that much thicker and allows me to wedge it in place. Not the best solution but it will have to do for now. |

Well my dilemma is not solved then. I have been asking around for a watch winder that will work, but so far no dice. I mean I have no problem modifying the watch winder, but it revolves around the angle of the where the watch sits. I need a winder that angles the watch face up so it does not have a chance to fall out of the winder. I do not feel like modifying the 300 dollars watch winder. Any suggestions? Thanks? |

Here is one that works...They also make it in a double and quad. I have the quad winder and it even holds my Bentley 6.75. The only thing I have to do was turn the pillows on it vertical instead or horizontal which in my opinion is how they should go anyways. They fit nice and snug in the cups this way and also have a greater circumference for the large watch face of my bentely and big bracelet. Apologies for piggy-backing on your thread, but is there an article / spec of requirements for watchwinders for the different Breitling models? I am currently interested in one that will work for my soon to be delivered Chronomat Evolution, but a comprehensive list for the majority of B's would be very useful? Thanks. |

The winder I have my eye on has 4 settings: a) Clockwise only, turining 6 minutes and resting for 30 minutes b) Counter-clockwise only turing 6 minutes and resting for 30 minutes c) Counter-clockwise for 20 minutes and rest for 10 minutes; then clockwise for 20 minutes and rest for 10 minutes d) Clockwise for 10 minutes then turn counter-clockwise for 10 minutes. This cycle will repeat for 3 hours then will rest for 9 hours. I now know that only setting A will be needed for my chronomat evo, but does the "turning 6 minutes and resting for 30 mins" have any bearing whether the winder is suitable? Thanks again. Adam. |

The full answer is that it depends on how many rotations occur within that 6 minute period. The Evo requires 800 rotations a day to keep it fully wound. A 6 on 30 off cycle will give 40 cycles every 24 hours so each 6 minute cycle needs to provide 20 or more rotations to get to the 800. If it does then you are fine, if it doesn't you're not. |

Very good point and using those numbers that turns out to be approx. 3.33 turns a minute or roughly one turn every 18 or seconds. |
