Welcome to BreitlingSource st0mps.

There are many, many threads on here about polishing - do a search for Cape Cod or Sunshine (two brands of polishing cloths) and you'll find everything that you need.

thanks for the info would it be better to purchase those items instead of taking it to a jewelry store to get the minor scratches out of the bezel and on the strap piece ?

If it's minor swirl marks then you can easily do it yourself, but careful on the bezel as these cloths will polish brushed finishes. If it's more significant dings then you'll likely need a professional job.

Yes.

And if you are going with cape cod rather than sunshine make sure that you rinse afterwards, otherwise you'll have black wrists - it's all in the threads on here.

Care!

Just take it slow and carefully and you'll be fine. I suppose you could put masing tape on it - that shouldn't do any damage, but just be careful and it's easy.

I wondered if taping it off would be the answer..It wont pull any of the coating off right?

Masking / painter's tape will probably be fine - but I wouldn't risk it.

If you want to polish up the bezel then I would take it off the watch.
