Whenever you shake it you can more or less feel the rotor spinning (especially with the 13 cal).

My SOH 46 is being sent in for the second time since I bought it 6 mos ago for repairs. When I got it back the first time I was told that the stem used was the wrong size. Now I am sending it back through the AD because the rotor is turning while manually winding it. Do you think asking for a new SOH would be appropriate, or a new Seawolf? I'm kind of skeptical on the SOH now. Thanks |

I'm not sure if they would consider giving you a entirely different model but perhaps if you've had multiple problems with the SOH in a short period of time I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask if you can get new one. |

It's certainly worth talking to your AD. They might give you credit towards a different model, but as Jerome says a replacement of the same model is more likely. Most companies have a policy (that they keep secret) to replace any piece that needs warranty work more than x times. Not sure if Breitling does, and two is likely not enough (usually at least three), but it doesn't hurt to ask. |

El paso Texas?! Dude, check your state consumer protection legislation, you might be surprised at the extent of you rights. The SOH should be as reliable as any other Breitling watch – don’t give up yet! Now, and I’m being a bit cheeky – but in a good hearted way – from where you’re from, what happens if a man comes in from the ranch, plonks his newly purchased .300 WM Remington hunting rifle down at the gun dealer and says, “I’ve been doin’ some varmitin’, but the bolt consistently seizes up on the third round, and I need this sorted out pronto.”? Talk to your neighbours – I would suggest you should be entitled to a new replacement on any product which consistently fails to perform as advertised. Every now and then that pinko-commie consumer rights stuff even works for the Good Old Boys down south. Stand up for your rights my friend! |

My rotor was spinning as if it was attached to the crown via a drive shaft. It would spin so fast that it shook the watch. The AD noticed it after one turn of the crown. |
