Post subject:  Navitimer Crystal Question

Hi everyone,

Just joined the forum and this is my first post. This is a great forum, so much info and the members seem eager to help each other out. I have a 2003 Chronomat and recently purchased a Navitimer Montbrilliant Datora. Man, do I love my Datora... one of the most beautiful watches out there in my opinion.

I'm hoping someone can provide a quick answer for a question I have. I purchased the Datora from interwatches.com so I'm fairly certain it's authentic (judging from this forum's posts and ebay's feedback). The watch is new with box and all papers. However, the crystal on the watch is not completely flat, it's slightly domed. When I say slightly I'm talking maybe 1-2mm in the center. This causes a distortion when viewed at an angle. Is this the way it should be? I thought the Navitimers had completely flat crystals?

Any feedback would be great.

Thanks!

As Roff said, the crystals on Navi are indeed domed, and interwatches always sell genuine goods. They are a bricks and mortar shop in Florida (Acceldebt, one of the long times members on here has bought from them in person) and I've bought from them online on behalf of a mate. They are fully above board, so you can rest assured your watch is genuine.

Thank you both for your responses. Having gotten such an excellent deal from them I wasn't entirely sure everything was on the up and up.

Thanks again for the assurance!
