My one year old Aerospace gains about 15 seconds every 24 hours. I'm an Air Force fighter pilot and I need an accurate watch. I have to wear my $40 g-shock if I don't want to re-hack my watch every few hours. I love the watch, but it really isn't satisfying the most basic purpose of a time piece.

Any ideas for a fix?

Get it to Breitling while it's under warranty.

Your watch is COSC certified to +/- 10 seconds a year so something ain't right!

That is way too much of a time gain. I'd suggest a trip to an AD is in order.

Thats what a superquartz aerospace should be gaining in a year, not a day... definitly get it checked out

I just read that a COSC time piece is accurate to within -4 to +6 seconds per 24 hours. Mine is still out of limits by those standards, but the COSC standards really don't seam that great for a professional pilot. I think +/- 10 sec per year would be more acceptable. I will take the watch in, but I hope that it doesn't become something that sits on the shelf because it can't keep time as accurate as my Casio. We'll see... I will pass an update after service.

The -4 to +6 is the COSC standard for mechanical watches. There is a different COSC rating for quartz watches which, given the accuracy of quartz, is much more stringent and is more in line with the +/- 10 secs per year that Roff mentioned.

As said above, Superquartz is incredibly accurate when working correctly, so get your Aerospace fixed and I'm sure you'll be like the millions of perfectly happy Breitling wearing pilots out there.

agreed my 2yr old airwolf gained 4 secs in the first year! Something's wrong with your aero. Get it serviced & the problem will be resolved.

I'd have to say my Superocean keeps awful time! I have three watches, the SO, a Seiko Kinetic Auto relay and a cheap digital Under Armour watch. The most accurate is the cheapest, followed by the Seiko and then the Superocean which is gaining approximately 1 second per hour. Its still only a couple of months old so I'm going to give it six months to bed in then send it back if its still just as bad.

It shouldn't take 6 months. If you have had it for 2 months and it hasn't improved take it to the AD and get it regulated - 10 minute job.
