Hi there, this is my first post so go easy on me. I'm curious as to hear what other people think of the said Breitling. For me this is my first and only breitling. I bought it at a while ago and have fallen in love with it's size and looks. I'm just opening the floor really to see what other people think.

I think the Chrono Colt is an excellent watch. I am a big fan of the Breitling Super Quartz technology as well as automatics, so the Colt models will always have my vote. It is very unique to have a quartz movement that is COSC Certified. Also the battery is supposed to be good for 8 years. Being quartz, it enables a much thinner profile on the wrist. Besides, it is still a Breitling, and bigger is not always better. It is totally a matter of personal preference. As a matter of fact, I am looking for another Breitling to replace the 10-year-old SuperOcean I have, but I am taking my time. My AD will take the SuperOcean as a trade, so I can get at least 25% off my next Breitling. My choices at the moment are the Blackbird, SuperOcean Steelfish, and the Colt Super Quartz II. If I get the Colt, I can save $4000.00 and still have an excellent watch for years.
So be happy and enjoy the one you have!
Cheers,
Carl

I like it. But maybe my view is a bit biased? I have a hard time trying to figure out any Breitling I don't like... Just because I like some more than others doesn't mean I dislike any model.

I agree with what was said above. If I was going to purchase a quartz watch it would definitely be from the chrono colt line. It has much of the styling of the chronomat in my opinion. It has different wrist presence because of the size, and the bracelet is not as nice, however it still is a great looking watch. I would love to have this watch on a bracelet as my gym watch or sport watch. Definitely a yes vote!

I think it's a nice looking piece, but I'm not a fan of quartz watches. I would much rather own an automatic.

It's a nice looking watch, I prefer the Chrono SuperOcean simply because I prefer mechanical movement. If I were going to go the quartz route, I'd probably start with an Aerospace or Airwolf. Don't get me wrong, the Chrono Colt is a nice watch, my boss has one and he loves it.

I voted for dislike, just by virtue of the fact that it's one of my less favourite Breitlings. (Obviously even as one of my less favourite Breitling's it's still a lovely watch compared to numerous other brands though!).

I agree with what Scarlet Evolution said above. I personally prefer automatics, so if I was to buy a quartz it would have to be for a specific reason - i.e. an Airwolf or Aerospace has to be quartz because of all the pilot functions : an M1 has to be quartz because of the use of magnetic push-pieces, etc.

And while Breiltings don't have to be huge, I do think it's just a little small these days for my tastes. But each to their own, and as I said at the start, it's still infinitely nicer than anything that a lot of other manufacturers make!

:yeahthat

I don't really dislike any Breitlings, but to be honest, I like this watch more than many other Breitlings.. some that are even automatic. I would take this over any of the smaller older autos, and I like it better than the small Breitling Heritage. I love the white dial, blue subdial Colt Chrono.
