First off, welcome to the Breitling forum. About a week ago, I visited my AD, and the salesperson said that Super Avengers were backordered by 6 months, but I think it is still worth the wait.

What a wait. You must have some patience.

If it's the model you want then it will be well worth it. Nevertheless someone here may know of a way to obtain one earlier than anticipated...

Welcome to the forums, enjoy your time here!

I know exactly how you feel! Now that I have had my new Seawolf for a few months, although I still love it and would not part with it, I am starting to eye other watches. Actually some not as expensive as the Breitlings. There is a company called Ocean7, and they have some great watches priced from about $799 (usd) to over $1000. You can only buy them on the internet. Our Admin has one, and he loves it. Have a look at the website, maybe will give you some ideas:

I was surprised that the SA would take that long to order. I am sure it will be worth waiting for, though!
Welcome to the forum!

Cheers,
Carl

1-6 months is extremely vague! I'm sure it will be alot closer to ONE month, then Six, the sale person was probably just being conservative just incase it take longer then expected. I was told 3-4 week for a SA with Batons and 1 week for an SA with arabic. Either way...I think the waiting and anticipation of getting the watch is part of the fun!

I would be very surprised if it's 6 months because La Swiss has so much buying power. As they are owned by Grigoros (the Canadian distributor) they effectively get access to every Breitling entering Canada, and client orders get priority. If you have put a deposit down then you should be at the front of the line for the first SA of your dial colour to enter Canada (unless someone else has a deposit on the same watch ahead of you).

At this time of year pieces are being produced in slightly smaller numbers as production lines start ramping up for delivery of the new models to be announced at Basel, but it shouldn't be that long - I have had a custom piece produced and that only took about 3 1/2 months.

Congrats on your new beast. Great piece! You got it quite fast, didn´t have to wait the 6 months after all.

I use a silver polish cloth. It gives my AS a crazy shine and takes care of the small scratches. For the bigger ones I´ll take it to the AD. You´ll just have to get used to them. Theres no way avoid the marks.

Yeah, Cape Cods work.

I think I'd steer clear of car wax.
