Post subject: | Titanium Seawolf with PRO II |
Hi Guys, Paid a visit to La Swiss today, in downtown Vancouver. I noticed that they still have 2 of the 08 Titanium Seawolf models left: one with grey dial, and one with yellow dial, and both with PRO II bracelet. The lady said that she would give me a good deal on one, but when I said that I wasn't going to buy today, she put down her calculator. Part of me has always wished that I had the Titanium version instead of the new one, in spite of the fact that the 09 is an incredibly attractive watch. My question is: How much would you folks say is a good discount on the earlier model? The price tag was $3540.CAD. I looked at both the yellow and grey dials. I have to say the grey dial with the brushed titanium really does it for me. I just really wish that Breitling would do something about that date window with the white background that IMO intrudes on the beauty of almost every dial they make that does not have a lot of white text on it. Anyway, I know that is being overly picky, but it is how I feel. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Carl |

If they can't shift them then you should be able to get 40%, maybe more - that's pretty much my normal discount with La Swiss now so it's definitely doable and is still giving them profit. |

A dealer a few days ago had a gray dial on Pro I bracelet (! lol) and said they dont discount more than usual on it. I was like...oooookay. |

Thanks for the replies. I have been looking at the Tutima DI 300, which is on sale at a local AD for 30% of, making it about $1260CAD. If I got 40% off the Seawolf, that would be about $2125CAD. It might be worth it to pay the extra $850 and get the Breitling. The Tutima is Titanium as well, with a great orange dial, but with the lug arrangement, ie almost no lugs, and the spring bar is so close to the case, it makes it very difficult, but not impossible, to put an aftermarket strap on there. On the other hand, plenty of space on the Seawolf, and it looks great with any number of leather straps on it. Thanks again, I'll sleep on it. I have far too many sleepless nights with this watch thing! Cheers, Carl |

I own both the Ti and SS versions and as much as I like the Ti, it rarely see's any wrist time. In fact, that goes for all of my watches every since I got the SS SeaWolf. |

I hear you loud and clear. I got my SS Seawolf a couple of months ago, and now have sold my AS Blacksteel and my Steelfish, both purchased new last year. The Ti Seawolf was available for so many years, and I can't believe I never got one. I just love the rugged, brushed look, very grey and looks awesome on a grey dial. My SS Seawolf is on my wrist all the time now. Cheers, Carl |

The Ti Seawolf is an incredible piece. I would get it before they become really hard to find. My Pro II has picked up a fair amount of scuffs in the past year but it just adds to the working watch feel of it. I'm having a Diver Pro put on it next week and I swapped out the used Pro II on the Seawolf and put it on my new CA M1 and putting the new Pro II from the CA M1 away for safe keeping. |
