Is there a tutorial on here about switching out straps? I searched but all kinds of junk came up...

Also - any tips on cleaning a croco strap?

Cleaning is easy - just soap and water, try not to get it too wet and allow it to dry naturally - not with a hair dryer or similar.

br549 has given you a link to Admin's guide and the tool that you want is a Bergeon 6767F.

Wow, I would have never thought I should get it wet!

Fine - 6767F is fine point, 6767S is standard.

In the meantime, while you are getting the spring bar tool, you could just use a very small screw driver. I have one that I got with a pair of sunglasses, just to tighten the screws, and it works perfectly. First time I tried it, I couldn't believe how easy it was. Just push the screw driver in gently between the strap and the lug, where the spring bar is. When it contacts the spring bar, apply a bit of pressure and push the spring bar away from the lug. There is a small notch in the bar, that the tip of the screw driver will fit in. It might take one or two tries, but works like a charm for me. Getting the strap back in is, I find, a little more difficult. Kind of put one end in first, then push the spring in on the other end and kind of slide it into the second hole.
Hope my explanation makes sense and is of some help. The world should be a happier place knowing that I didn't take up surgery for a career!

Unless you are very steady on your hand I would wait for the Bergeon to arrive and not use a screwdriver as Carl suggests. In the springbar tool there is a small notch to fit the springbar and hold in place (ie the middle of the tool's blade). With a screwdriver you don't have that notch and it is quite easy to slip - and then you can very easily scratch the watch case with either the screwdriver or the springbar when it springs free.
