Just tried a "Hirsch Liberty" on one of my watches whilst I'm waiting for a new croc'...Obtained it from http://www.rltwatches.com for only £22.50 + postage. it's approx' 5mm thick, and comes in black, brown & tan. Fitted my own buckle on it.

So, how is it? I've been looking at their carbon fiber style straps, can't find them here but I was wondering if it was worth trying to get it from the US...

That looks wonderful, I have been thinking about putting a leather strap on my cockpit but baulk at the cost of a plain old calf strap from Breitling so this is very interesting!
Nice to see another new dial cockpit on the forum as well, we are a rare breed, I love your TT one!

Agreed Ian, we seem to be a rare breed, I also have an Airewolf and Skyland but tend to wear the Cockpit more these days. Either on a Croc, Lizard or plain leather strap. :)

I was inspired by your thread aso checked out panatime where I have got straps from before, they are great quality for the price! For the same price as a calf skin here in Canada I can get a hedly roma croc, mind they have some nice padded calf for only $39 and it looks very similar to the Breitling calf. I found that the quality of leather I that are on two of the straps I got from them to be equal in texture at least to the breitling, this stitching the same, I wonder if my AD would sell me just the buckle?

It's nice to have options. Makes your watch feel brand new :)

Thats new, the Liberty never had the wrap around stitch at the lug end before. Looks great.

I just received a couple BOB faux croc straps in the Breitling deployant style, really a nice quality strap for $35. (pssst, check the buy/sell  )

I second the BOB straps. I like all their leather straps.. I have a couple o their Croco Grain leather straps, and they look great, but the problem with the lighter ones is that they still to me look obviously fake. I like the black and midnight blue ones the best.
