I am now in the fortunate position to have the funds to buy myself a proper watch. Breitling is my first choice.
However, I don't have big wrist & hands and would prefer less than 40mm diameter.
In order to give me a narrower model choice, which are the smaller diameter models?

If you want a smaller watch, I'd go for either the Chrono Cockpit or the Super Ocean Heritage 38. Both are under 40 mm widht, I believe. I tend to like automatic movements over quartz, but if I didn't I'd suggest the Colt too.

What kind of money do you intend to spend? What are your preferences regarding style?

What size is your wrist? I would not overlook the largest Lings yet, I know people who have 6.5" wrists and find the Chrono Evolution (44 mm) to be comfy. Try them out at your AD and give them a chance!

The Navitimer Montbrillant is 38mm as well, and the Colt GMT is 40.5mm, and automatic, while the regular (current) Colt is 41.5mm. You can get plenty of older Breitlings in the sub-40mm size.

I find that the Super Avenger is a bit big on my wrist, and i have 6.75" wrists.. not the smallest, but when a watch is that big and your wrist is that small, you have to have a certain sense of style to pull it off. Even though I have small wrists, I'm a pretty stocky guy, so it works for me.

Thanks for your advice. My wrist is a little over 7".
I will now look at the models that you have suggested & try a couple on in my nearest dealership.

over 7" is not small at all, average is 7 to 7.5" I read somewhere. Definately check out the Evo and the Navi Datora (my two current favorites) as well as other larger Lings.

I can't help but take note of the great watch pics...not only do I love the watches but I love the attention to detail with the marble in the background and the charts w/plotter
