I have the opportunity to get a good deal on either one of these watches, but can only get one.
I'd like to hear some views and opinions, pros/cons, experiences with these watches on making a choice and why. I need to make a decision soon, so I look forward to your opinions.
Thanks guys..

I own a Skyland and I love it. Its a great watch. Large, rugged looking, yet polished so it dresses up well. I love the dial layout with the stencil numbers. All around I think its a great watch....but there is something about the Blackbird's large date display and second hand counterweight that grabs me.

Both nice watches. When i had to choose between the chronomat and the blackbird it come down to price. The chronomat is $5840 and the blackbird was $6840. So i couldn't justify the 1K difference for the big date.. Your money your wallet, both good watches. Good luck.

cheers,

I own a Skyland black dial and have tried on the Blackbird. The Skyland definitely wears a little chunkier and is, IMO, a little sportier. The pushers and crown make the blackbird seem a little more refined. I find the black dial Skyland to be my perfect "jeans" watch, and for just a shirt and tie, it's beautiful. I think it looks a little odd with a suit, probably because it just doesn't fit my stereotype of a dress watch.

You really can't go wrong. Pick the one that speaks to you.

Did you have chance to try it with the black dial, and if so, how did it look?

The BB I've tried on many times, and I've tried on the Skyland, but only in a grey dial and blue..not a fan. No one here has a Black dialed Skyland in stock. I know the size and fit etc...So it's just the dial color...and if picture do it justice, I love the look.
I think for now, I am leaning towards the Skyland...mainly because it's less expensive. I think the BB will come down in price eventually, so I think I will hold out on the BB for a while. I do love that Big D though!

Yeah, gotta love the big date. The bigger B-wings logo and the bracelet are my favourite touches on the BB, which is quite dressy in over all look. Compairing details with the Skyland the crisp b&w contrast, sharp stencil numbers, sturdier crown and pushers, size, 6-9-12 lay out and sharper precence won for me. The ProII has turned out to be much nicer than I expected too. It´s a great anytime/everywhere wear.
