I don't even see it listed on the Breitling webpage. I like the watch, but I haven't heard much about it. My AD here in Scottsdale has a few and they look great on the wrist. Nice and big. But I don't want to purchase some half-Breitling, or the Porsche Boxter version of a classic watch. Thoughts on the Hercules?

The Hercules is a discontinued model. Breitling stopped making it a year or so back. It's got quite a cool movement whereby longer periods of time are measured on the chronograph by way of a mini clock-like subdial that shows the hours and minutes. Check out this link for more info - http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... nal_5.html

It's quite a unique looking watch in the Breitling range with the Professional style bezel, the quite traditional looking dial and the integrated bracelet. Personally it doesn't quite work for me. I tried one on a couple of years back and it didn't do a lot for me on my wrist, but that's not to say it isn't a good watch. You don't see many about so could be worth a look if it suits you on.

I'll need to try the thing on a few more times to see for sure. But it's in the mix, for sure.

I really like the white dialed Hercules... the darker dials I'm not so sure about.

I wondered why my AD had the Hercules for such a good price. It had a sticker of 2800. I didn't realize it had been discontinued. Regardless, that's a good price for that watch, IMO. And they may go even lower. I live in Scottsdale, AZ, so I have a couple of other ADs here in town that I'll check out. I may be able to find it for even cheaper. Thanks for the info, fellas.

Out of curiosity, what were they offering it to you for?

The price on the tag is $2800. Which is cheaper than I've even seen online. I bet they'd even go a little lower, with a little dealing. How's that price look to you? Seem fair?

$2800 seems pretty cheap to me. I thought the Herc was around $4000 at retail. At that kind of pricing, any discount you get is a sweet deal on a new Ling.
