Has anyone ever seen a picture or the watch itself of a SOS with blue face and black Ocean Racer strap? I am considering buying an Ocean Racer strap for my blue SOS and can't decide on the blue or black.

You might try this link. It will allow you to try any available strap/ bracelet with any particular watch.

I don't have a picture but I vote Black. check out this site, you can sellect any combl of straps and Breitling watches. Try a Brown Croc..my personal fav on a blue Ling. Go to the fitting tab to see watch strap combos.

I have considered that very combination in the past. In general, I'm not a huge blue/black combo guy (at least not with clothes). But the blue-dial SOS looks almost gray under certain lighting, and I think the black OR would look good with it. Like you, I've never seen one in real life. I love the circular pattern on the dial against the circles in the OR strap.

To my eye, the dial color on that japanese fitting site looks just a touch more blue than the real thing, but I still don't think it looks bad with the black OR. My vote is black. I also vote that you post pictures here when you get it! 8)

My vote would be black as well. I have seen the other two OR colours, blue and bronze and really don't care for them. They were both on SOH models.
I had a Steelfish with black dial, and put an OR on it. It looks great! Here is a link for you. This is not my Steelfish, but some kind person posted the pics for me to see before I ordered the OR:

I don't see why the black would not look good with the blue dial.
Cheers,
Carl
