Post subject: | Question about wolf designs watch rotator... |
I have an '08 Chronomat Evolution and wanted to know if the MODULE 1.5 Single Rotator (http://www.wolfdesigns.com/?a=getp&oid=215&cid=3) would be a good choice. For the $200 dollar price point is there another make or company I should be looking at? On Another note, what is the optimal routine for winding an evolution...what settings? Thank you kindly in advance. |

I use cheapo winders. You'll find Breitling movements under Breguet... http://www.orbita.net/pages/17102B.htm Evo's caliber is B13. |

According the the following cite - http://www.orbita.net/pages/17102B.htm - my Chronomat Evolution is Clockwise and recommended at 800 turns per day...The watch winder I am looking at by Wolf Designs has only 600 turns per day. Will this suffice or should I look for another model that has 800 specified? |

The answer to your question is YES the wolf 1.5 will work just fine. I have one (that i dont use since the purchase of the 6 watch winder) adn I used it for quite some time. The only problem I had was the head weight of the watch caused the watch to fall out of the winder so ordered the extra large cushion for it and wedged a old debit card (slimmed down) on the inside of the cup to add a little extra pressure to the holding power. Worked great after that and I would still be using it if I didnt need adn havent purchased the new winder. BTW they can be had cheaper than the $200 you meantioned. $175 is pretty common on eBay and at some AD's. Scott |

BroncoSport, If you don't mind elaborating on how you used the 1.5? Would you just put the watch on whenever you weren't wearing it? For how long? |

At the time I bought the 1.5 winder, I had my Chronomat and my black Steelfish. I wear the Steelfish everyday and the Chronomat was for nicer occations, so... 99% of the time the Chronomat was on the Wolf winder. Sometimes for weeks at a time. |
