I don't really see the point... I mean, I'll buy the watch because I want the watch. If I'd like a cap, a t-shirt or something else I'd buy that instead. It's a few years since I bought my first Breitling and I haven't seen any PR-related material yet. I'm quite happy with that, I find the discrete way more appealing than the loud way.

The point is when the AD says you will recieve a free cap from Breitling, then I expect to recieve my free cap. Especially when I personally see the AD fillingout the Breitling card that says "Free Cap, with registration". It's like expecting a promise and it not being delivered.

Ok, then I agree to a certain level. If they promise something they should also keep their word - as a matter of trust. But nevertheless, the reason I'm at the AD is because of the watch...

I don't really care for the caps. I give 'em away. I don't wear them.. they can't contain my spikey hair.. they seem popular amongst the Breitling collectors though.

I usually give them as giveaway together with a ballpen or lighter with models, that are leaving the collection. Or as a gift, if something did not work as it should on a repair...

But when they promise You one, they should give it to You immediately. Not send it afterwards.

Agreed.

Under promise, over deliver.

I feel proud to join the Breitling Club!

I think me getting the cap proved I wasn't going crazy, when I thought I saw registration card stated I would be getting a free cap. Nice to know the brain is still fully operational.

Nice cap! My cap arrived yesterday, and took about 4 weeks.

First Breitling - I received a cap and a letter thanking me for purchasing. Second Breitling, bought two months ago, nada! Not a problem though, got a decent deal on the watch. Different experiences with different ADs though. One treated the watch with care and respect as a fine timepiece should be; handled with cotton gloves over a protective 'Breitling' mat. The other handed to me with sweaty fingers over the glass display counter - even dropped the watch ON the glass cabinet. No damage to watch, but what a difference!
