I don't want to start another debate about the pros and cons of buying online, but I did notice that Prestige Time has some special offers on Breitling for Bentleys. Some aren't worth it relative to what you can get through an AD, and for non US buyers the exchange rate likely kills it, but there are some decent prices there for the next couple of weeks - and there's another 2% off through Google on top of these prices.

http://www.prestigetime.com/items.php?b ... er_page=48

Usual caveats apply - Prestige Time don't automatically guarantee serials being intact, but they are on the trusted list. There are a few members who have had experience with them (good and not so good) so use the search function to do your research.

Looks good actually. Particularly interested in that 6.75 black dial on black croc + deployant.

Can you ask that they keep the serial's intact?

No - they either are or they aren't, depends on where they got them from. You need to check with them before purchasing as each piece is different.

Jay-
You're better off having it shipped to you instead of picking it up in New York since then you're responsible for sales tax since it would be delivered within the state of New York. This is what the website says:

Sales Tax

Taxes:
As Prestige Time is located in NY State, we are required by law to collect sales tax on all deliveries within NY State. The sales tax rate will be calculated by your local sales tax rate. Prestige Time does not collect sales tax on orders shipping anywhere outside of New York State.

Wow those are some fantastic discounts... expecially if the serials are intact. Thank goodness there isnt a bronze Motors T in stock. I would have to scrape together the money if there was one.

This is probably the best offer for a very long time on a black Flying B Chrono, which is a watch I really would like to have at some point. Too bad the watch budget is what it is, after getting the bronze Le Mans. :?

Great deals indeed, although for anyone over here in UK the exchange rate is likely to be a deal killer. $1.38 to the pound last time I checked!

they do in fact guarantee serials to be present. This from their disclaimer:

Prestige Time specializes in discounted brand name watches, and has been in business for over eight years. Our specialty is famous brand name timepieces. All watches sold by Prestige Time, LLC are guaranteed to be 100% genuine brand new in the original box, with the serial numbers intact. Your satisfaction is guaranteed

Andrew

If I bought this in NYC i'd be only passing through. Im from Australia and going to be in NYC for a holiday in 2 weeks.

I can therefore claim back the Sales tax before I leave. :D

That must be a recent addition - and a good thing. It used to be only Jomashop that guaranteed serials 100% of the time.

Close to dealer cost + missing serial numbers = caveat emptor.

You may wish to avoid this debate, but this is really no better than a garage sale

Looks like (from the wording on thier site) that the serial numbers ARE INTACT, so sounds like a great time to buy up that Bentley if they have the model you hunger for.
