Let's see yours!! Don't see many threads or posts on this quiet jem in the Breitling line-up so thought I would refresh folks memories of this beauty with a picture of my 09 dial version (both old and new are wonderful in my mind!) For those not looking for chronograph functions and something that is a little more dressy I think you would do very well to check this beauty out! These are taken at a beautiful park near where I live called Whytcliff. Two shots of my cockpit and one of the view up North America's most southerly Fjord! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Actually it was the pictures of your new Bentley that got me to thinking to take a couple of new shots of mine and seeing as today was such a stunner here in BC I went and did so! I really love the bronze dial of your watch, there is something really rich in it's looks! |

That is a great watch and sometimes seems overlooked. I saw a two tone Cockpit (new style) on a croc and it was really dressy. I really like that dial change. |

Nice! I really like the way the style/font of the romans on it, very classy. My only problem with it is the size... And what a beautiful scenery, very nice pictures. Reminds me of Norway actually. |

Thanks Guys, I can see the connection to Norway, very similar especially as you go up it towards whistler! The size is smaller (though a few years ago I would have thought 41mm was huge!) but it is oh so comfrtable to wear. I have had it now for nearly six months, wear it every day and still find myself gazing at it! There is something in the way Breitling finish the steel and dials that is mesmorizing, the way the dial catches the light and looks creamy white one minute and soft silver the next..Wonderful! Here is another shot with my other two passions, reading and writing, the book is the maine woods by my favorite writer and philosopher Henry David Thoreau and the pen, my new pride and joy from a company called Nakaya. They are a group of artisans who hand make each pen, hand turning the barrels, hand lacquering the finish (which can take up to 3 months!) then finally hand tuning the nib to your writing style, fantastic pens and a joy to write with, their site is here, http://www.nakaya.org/eindex.html ![]() |

Whytecliff Park - memories of picnics as a kid. That Cockpit still is a stunner! I would like to see a new one with the grey dial. I have seen a couple more recently in the two shops downtown, with the silver dial. I am still lusting after a Panerai, although it will probably take a year before I can get one. I went to the only AD in town, Palladio, and I was not impressed. As I have done in the past, I will go without something regardless of how badly I want it, if I am not comfortable with the people or the establishment that is selling the item. The after sales is so important to me. I did go into Birks last weekend, and chatted with a young lady who suggested I try Brinkhaus. They do sell Panerai in their Calgary store, and maybe I can order one from them that way. I digress...glad to see you back on the forum. Cheers, Carl |

Great to hear from you mate, yeah the pen is fantastic! I know what you mean about Palladio. I did like Brinkhaus, I found them very old school and very careful in the handling of the watches, as sale is a sale so I would imaging they would only be too happy to get the panni for you. By the way, after you tried Nelsons I knew you would go for one, you can always tell by the look in someones eye! Can't wait to see which one you get, what one are you thinking of? We will have to get together soon, it has been crazy busy my end what with the writing and filming! |

That really is very nice, Ian. Classy looking watch, and I love the numerals. |
