I have saved my pennies and I am in the market for my first real watch!!!! That said I want to get the best value for my money so I am looking for advice

1. My price range will be up to 3500.00 USD this needs to include sales tax, in the states were I live CA thats 8.5 %

2. I like the dive watchs i.e super ocean, sea wolf, chrono avenger etc.

3. I would like to not pay full retail....is buying off of the internet a good option, (no sales tax on internet stores outside of CA) and if so what are good sites to do this from?

4. If I do have to go to a retail store what would be considered a good discount from their asking price?

You need this:

http://authenticwatches.com/breitling-c ... steel.html

It has a 300m water resistency. I have one and think its awesome.

Or you can get most of the navitimers on leather for that price, great watches!!!!!

Authenticwatches is a reputable dealer, I would feel safe buying from them. Good discounts!!!

Good luck!

i'm not givin' him heck for it, though i think doubleposting is a bit intrusive. please dont doublepost in the future ;)

My advice is this: Go to a local AD that sells Breitling and the other watches you are interested in.. and try them all on. You should be able to find many things you like for $3500. Then go online and compare the prices the AD is offering you with the prices online... then go back to the AD and try and negotiate a price close to the online price.. then buy from whomever you feel is the better value. :)

Welcome to the world of watches Will227457. I am a newbie here too but have just made my choice - a Navi. Just wanted to back up the advice from breitlingsource here. This is exactly what I did, which meant I got my watch from an AD, which gave me the piece of mind I wanted but at a price closer to what I wanted to pay. Also, it is important when you spend a lot of money that you feel comfortable with who you are buying it from and I found my AD very helpful and friendly.
