Guys, is the Pro 2 bracelet durable? I got my new COLT II Auto from George at Govberg today (who is awesome by the way. I will post a review tomorrow) What does everyone think of the bracelet. It is comfy as all hell, but I have notices a couple scratches already. Let me know what you think about the durability Thanks! |

Pro 2 is very durable. Although it is a scratch magnet, Breitlings have a preternatural finish that still glistens and reflects light despite all the swirls and scratches they pick up. In addition its a very well constructed bracelet with a strong solid feel to it. |

Congratulations on the beautiful new Colt! Excellent bracelet! I had a PRO I on my SuperOcean, that I wore constantly for over 10 years. It was the only bracelet/strap I had on the watch during that time. Finally, after 10 years a link gave out, and one that could not be replaced. Apparently, the PRO II is even sturdier, more durable. It does look better made, so I am sure that it will give you many years of trouble-free wear. What you might want to do, is about every month, just wash the watch and the bracelet in some warm, soapy water. All the "gunk" from dust, perspiration etc. really gets inside the links of the bracelet, and unless you wash it frequently, it really gets hard to clean. I found that once every one or two week, after I washed the watch in Sunlight dish detergent, and rinsed and dried it well, it sparkled like new! Even with the scratches. After a while, the scratches never bothered me any more. I never had the watch polished in all the 10 years, and it still looked great - "classic" is the word I'm looking for. Yours will too. Cheers, Carl |

Its about as good a bracelet as you are likely to find on any watch, regardless of price. |

I've bought my CSO on the ProI. back in 2003 and loved it. As the ProII appeared I switched to that one. The ProI is sportier, the ProII is more elegant and has a bit more rugged clasp, following better the wrist. The only reason I went back to the ProI: I've missed a lot the diver's extension link on the PRoII. Not that I dive, but as this is my watch for holidays and week-ends (on week-days I mostly wear my Chrono Cockpit on the Pilot bracelet) I like to wear the CSO outside my gloves when X-country skiing or just making a walk in the forest in wintertime. Yup, Breitling make the absolute best bracelets out there, and their straps are not too shabby either! The Pro II is a truely well engineered bracelet, I personally prefer the design of the Speed but they are all quite well made. |

I have two things to say to you Cape code and Sunshine polishing cloths! Using these two,the cape cod once in a while and the sunshine once a week I keep my bracelet virtually swirl free! I think Breiting make the best bracelets out there, I love their style! |

thanks guys for the responses. The middle links that are closest to the watch are already scratched from a days use. Is that normal? I did not do anything to the watch besides wear it. |

Sheebo16, Over the last 2 years we have posted several conversations about Cape Cod polishing cloths that were recommended by Admin. I would suggest that if you are like me and you like your bracelets to shine than get some and also wash the watch and bracelet at least every 2 days because if you let it go like was mentioned here your bracelet will begin to build up "GUNK". The Cape Cods are great for keeping all scratches off of your Lings. |

Sheebo16, I can see that you, like me don't like scratches. I use the Cape Cods at least once a week because if you don't stay on top of it those scratches will multiply and then it's a real hassle to get them off. I would suggest you get some and wash your Lings daily and use the cloths weekly. You will see that the clasp will get scratches rapidly too, but if you polish often at least weekly it's not hard to keep your Ling looking great all the time. I go back and forth between my Bentley and my SA and I am constantly polishing them and it's not something that I don't look forward to but I do it because I like My Lings SHINY ! |

I know where to get Cape Cod cloths here in Australia (Peters of Kensigton for those that don't know), and I understand they are for taking out swirlies etc. What are sunshine cloths? Are they what you would use on a daily basis for just taking finger prints / grease away? |
