Off to try a few on at the w/e and pretty much convinced myself it's the watch to "splash my cash on"

From pictures I've seen I'm sorely tempted to go for the Rose Gold and Steel version. Some photo's I've seen show the gold parts to be quite a deep red gold, which looks rather attractive. Others I've seen show the gold to be; well, plain ol' gold and not at all appealing.
Breitlings 'O9 catalogue describes the Legende material options as being "gold" ...not rose, pink or any other variation. In contrast, the Catalogue lists the material options for the standard Montbrilliant as Rose and Pink Gold - seems Breitling use 3 tones of gold on their watches.
Confused! Can anyone shed any light - I'm hoping it's a deep red/coppery gold?

Anyone with the same Legende? The dealer only has a black faced model, which would be my first choice - but white too could be a contender....anyone with pictures please?

Thanks

David

Yes, it's rose gold.

You should send Roffensian a pm. He has a TT Legende. Mine is just steel, and I know a few others here that also have the all steel version.

Mines the Havana dial, and as aleister says it is TT.

Photos here - viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3828

The rose gold does look very good - it looks more gold like under bright light, but in less intense light it does have a real rose hue. I'm very happy with mine.

Thanks for replies guys...I've contacted BUK who've also confirmed it is Rose and not the bog standard gold gold :D

I'll find out soon enough at the w/e.

Roffensian - intriguing colour is that Havana. Is that a metallic finish or a "flat" colour? And how does the gold wear - all my B's have been scratch magnets, but a tickle with a Cape Cod cloth has always restored the finish, I'm wondering with gold being softer than the steel if it's even more prone to marking and just how wise it would be to polish a two-tone?

Anyone with a white dialed TT Legende and pictures please? :)

Thanks

David

Finish is hard to describe - it's not metallic for sure, but I wouldn't really call it flat either, and the colour changes a lot with the light and the angle.

In terms of the gold, it is softer than steel so you have to be aware of that, for me it's not a daily wearer so it doesn't really bother me - just keep it cleaned and no big deal. I'm a little more careful with polishing cloths on precious metals, especially when you remember that this is rolled gold on big expanses like the bracelet so it is only a surface layer. That said it's relatively thick at 20 microns so you aren't going to polish it off.
