Post subject:  Question for the GMT watch owners

Since I caved in to the illness and bought Chris' Navi World (which hopefully will be here tomorrow! :) ), I am now going to own my first GMT watch.

My question is, what do most people set the GMT hand to? Do you actually set it to GMT or a different time zone of a place you travel often?

I would like to know the same. The ROLEX GMT is really for keeping the GMT on your home time, & moving the hour hand(normal hour) to your actual time zone. The reason is it's easier to read normal hands than the GMT hand when telling time. However that watch will back change the date when the hour hand goes back through midnight. I would be interested to know if the world & bentley gmt can do this? They look much better than the rollie.

Mine is set to real GMT time, I didn't know if it could be set to an actual second timezone.

I usually keep the GMT set 3 hours behind because I like to be reminded what time it is in San Diego... where my sister and her family live and I visit alot. But whenever I go on vacation, it's great to keep local time and set the GMT to your home time. Like I did with my 233 last week in Hawaii... (shameless excuse to post a pic)

GMT hand is set to GMT when on british summertime (I'm a radio ham!) but when on holiday, I set it to UK time so I don't inadvertantly phone home and wake them all up!

on the navi world, its quickset so easy to adjust as and when......If I'm working in a hospital or similar where I need to enter times in 24 hr format, its pretty useful too

all in all, one of the most useful complications imho.

Enjoy your navi world, I know I do mine.
