Miserable few days trying to buy the watch that (I think) I want! My choice has been narrowed down to several Breitlings - SOH non chrono/SOH Chrono/maybe a Navitimer of some variety but starting to think they're a little fussy. A BNIB Breitling for Bentley monster at a fabulous price - too big I suspect until I can find one try; or my favourite, a Montbrilliant Legende especially in Rose Gold and Steel. Some AD's have been remarkably easy to coax 20% discount on the lower value models. But on the Navitimer and Legende models discounts have been much harder to get. A little surprising given the economic climate and that Monty I want, really really want, is now a few bob shy of £6k...and I'm not going to be allowed to spend that ![]() I've come across a site in Stuttgart http://www.watchdeal.de who have a few that interest me. I've never bought outside the UK before and I don't want to deal with someone unkown. Prices include German VAT and they're being a little flexible on their better-than-I-can-achieve UK prices. Anyone dealt with this company or have any advice on any other German companies that are easy to deal with and who're not likely to cause me any problems? Or better still, anyone know of any UK Breitling dealers who're likely to be more flexible on their higher value watches? Despite what they're saying I can't see too many people spalshing out serious cash on watches just now On the Breitling models, has anyone seen a SOH or more particularly a Monty Legende in the "Bronze" colour? It's difficult to work out if it's a Red/Brown or a deep metalic Bronze colour...I'm quite attracted to it! Advice, guidance and especially info on a good source in UK who's flexible on price for higher end B's will be hugely appreciated ![]() Need to get rid of the watch-pot before it's diverted into totally boring and non-fun related stuff in the house! Thanks David |

Might I suggest shopping for the one you want elsewhere? If you don't need to purchase from a local AD there are some great places to shop ![]() |

I might get shot down for saying this, but the 'bronze' SOH is more of a metallic brown beloved of 1970's Ford Granadas. I love the colour of real bronze. Come to think of it, are there watches with real bronze dials? |

That's killed any thoughts of buying one ![]() Looks as though the Rose Gold/Steel Legende is a real possibility at a very nice price now. UK AD supplied which has put a smile on my face - just need to convince my "financial controller" to relax the purse strings a tad! David |

David, The bronze is indeed a muddy granada shade of sh1t brown....avoid, The ledgende is a fab watch but remember you can't swap out the bracelet for a nice strap for a wee change I'd encourage you to stick with a uk AD as things can go wrong on occasion and they are keen to shift stock right now.....personally, I'd wait for baselworld to see what new stuff shows up, you never know, there may be something that really hits the spot with you. |
