B01 Vs. 7750

Post subject:  B01 Vs. 7750

As Breiting begins the transisiton over to the B01, I'm assuming one of the first models to get the Mov. will be our beloved Chronomat. Just curious on long term value as we look at the Zenith Mov. Rolex Daytona's hold more value now then when they were new. What do you think the value impact will be with the B01...not to diminsh the great Mov. 7750.

The B01 will be inherently more valuable on the secondary market in pure dollar terms because it will be more expensive initially - same concept as a Bentley Motors being worth more than a comparable SA used.

However in percentage terms, I'm not sure that the argument will hold true. The suggested production numbers of 50,000 a year initially - and presumably higher going forward, are going to mean that these pieces are going to be readily available and I just don't see any reason for a premium.
