Read in this forum about a breitling beeing around 2 minutes off every 24 hours. So I decided to check my own favourite Breitling, the Chrono Avenger from 2004 and while doing so also check how many seconds my Speedmaster day/date from -96 was off.

The Avenger with the caliber 13 has the ETA Valjoux 7750 as base movement and is a certified chronometer (C.O.S.C.) while the speedmaster with the calibre 1151 witch also is a 7750 movement isn´t not a certified watch.

Result under pictures :)

The measuring range was from 20:00 (8:00 pm) last night to 14:00 (2:00 Pm) today so 18 hours total.

The Avenger was 10 sec minus and the speedmaster only 4. Not the result I was hoping for  . The avenger have been overhauled in late 2006 and the speedmaster I don´t know if it even been to a service of any kind sience -96. Hmmm...
I still like my avenger more :lingsrock:

And mabye my reference watch (Citizen Nighthawk) wasn´t the best one to make this fair.

Have a nice sunday! And lucky me finding this great forum!

Thats not a very accurate way to test them. You should measure each of them separately, over the course of at least a few days, including wearing during the day.
