If I understood correctly, a Kaufmann croco strap was aftermarket adujusted to take up the beautiful OR folding clasp:

I wonder why Breitling does not develop the same straps for this clasp - of course in different length sizes. After a minor modification the Breitling steel bracelets (Navi, Speed, Pilot, OC and ProII) could also use the very same clasp - would be a great step forward! (Mainly in case of today's folding clasp used for leather straps...)

Mod, plz delete my post if a link to another forum violates BS rules!!! Thx.

I think you hit the nail on the head there Robertus when you said, "of course in different length sizes". It'd probably ramp the price up too much as they'd have to make an infinite number of strap length variations to cater for all our wrist sizes. The beauty of the OR is that you can just chop it to fit.

PS - Admin has no problems linking to other forums, so no need to delete your post!

According to my knowledge Breitling accepts orders on "special length" leather straps even today, for a good amount of money - but not for the mentioned clasp. Only thing to change would be to accept orders ith strap endings fitting to this clasp. If someone is ready to pay this amount of money... you could have a Breiltling signed strap and they could keep the money within their fence.

BTW this strap/clasp combo looks really amazing...
