I have fallen in love with these two watches and I can't decide which one is right for me. The Skyland is automatic, so I wonder how long does it last before it stops. In other words, if I don't wear it for let say two days, will it stop working? The Seawolf has the chrome numbers and has a quartz movement which I like but I have to replace the battery. I am really ready to buy but I don't know for sure which one is more expensive ,it seems to me that they are about the same price, probably the Skyland being a little more money because it's automatic. What do you guys recommend? |

I looked at both of these watches as well. I took the automatic movement, the Skyland. Why drop that kind of cash on a quartz? At least thats how I looked at it. I just appreciate what goes into an automatic movement and marvel at the design as corny as that may sound. I guess it comes down to that preference only major differences are the one mentioned above, the placement of the date, and water resistance. |

My own preference is for the auto, I do like quartz watches but only when they bring something 'extra', to the party...for example the extreme accuracy of breitling superquartz (although now widely available through many eta thermocompensated movements) However where quartz really starts to appeal to me is when you can have the clarity of an analog face but with all the quartz functions and more ie, aerospace, emergency, airwolf etc Just my $0.02 worth!........bottom line is both are great watches!...there, I'm no help at all.! |

Unless there is a specefic need for a quartz watch, I cant see spending that kind of cash on a Quartz. I vote for the Skyland! Mac |

Thank you so much for your input, I am going to go with the Skyland, I will call Tourneau this week to see if they have it in stock. The black dial looks amazing and so rugged. Do you need a winder to in case you don't wear it on weekends? |

Do you need a winder to in case you don't wear it on weekends? If it's only on weekends then it's probably easier to manually wind it - around 30 turns once a day. |

I'd go with the Avenger Skyland, Once you own an auto you will understand. The Superquartz is nice for accuracy and precision, if you don't wear an auto every day, do big deal just wind it up or get an auto winder. Post some pics when you pull the trigger! Paul |

Skyland for sure. Fairly soon you'll be hooked and you'll have accumulated another five automatics, and winding/resetting them all the time won't seem like a chore any more. ![]() ![]() |
