Diamond Bezel, you won't regret it, it will look stunning. Even more stunning than it does now. Some watches are made for the diamond bezel and others aren't. In my humble opinion the Evo is one of those watches made for the diamond bezel.

Get it asap. And go for the factory bezel. Really, really fantastic stones and settings. I agree with defiancekofb, the EVO is absolutely made for a diamond bezel. I love mine and so does most everyone who sees it. 8) :D
Cheers,
Ron

My AD told me Breitling no longer offers a diamond bezel. She said I can get one made, but not from Breitling. Is this correct?

I thought (past tense) I would not be into the diamonds, thinking they might look thrown on and not be fluid with the look of the watch or that it may make it look weak.
But I was wrong and I know (present and future tense) that it looks AMAZING!!!!

PS- The Croc strap screams tuxedo!!

No, no, no, no, NOOOOO!!!!

Please don't defile a perfectly good watch by throwing a handful of mineral deposit at it!

Fortunately here is a cure for this type of frankly heretical thought. All you need to do, is pick up your Breitling, stare it in all it's natural and unblemished STEEL glory, and keep repeating to yourself "Instruments for Professionals, Instruments for Professionals, Instruments for Professionals", etc. I'm sure Willy Breitling didn't mean "Professional Gangsta" when the phrase was first coined!!!

I do think the piece looks nice with the diamond bezel, I just don't know how practical it would be for me.

I thought this as well, but in retrospect I think any type of dress setting would be appropriate. I mean after all you do see all the rappers that wear hundreds of thousands in diamonds with a t shirt to movie premiere. I mean go figure I guess, I don't get how you can buy those diamonds and neglect to purchase a good suit or tux to match.

The diamond is too much for me - I guess I'm too conservative, or maybe boring :-0

Guys, I'm telling you, I used to feel exactly the same way about diamonds on ANY man's watch. I had told my wife it was almost sacrilegious to make "jewelry" out of a professional instrument. All the guys who fly with me would ridicule me as being a rapper, gangsta or a girl. It was my wife who convinced me otherwise when we saw this model in an AD's display case. Besides the absolutely stunning appearance the first (and every time thereafter) time I laid eyes on it, I simply couldn't perceive this piece as being even remotely feminine or "hip-hop". It seemed as though the bezel actually sharpened the obvious build quality and character of the piece. It immediately became a "grail" B for me and perhaps surprisingly, without any guilt about the attraction to it. Wifey practically insisted (I'm serious here) that I have that watch for my 60th birthday, and I caved. My chrono collection is shown below and I think you can see that "Instruments For Professionals" is indeed the theme there. That said, the EVO is second only to the B-1 for wrist time in the rotation, and it is a close second at that. I enjoy wearing the EVO with a suit or sport coat (or a tux if forced to wear one) and I enjoy it with sport/casual dress just as much. Jeans, sandals and T-shirt is fine too. No one has ever told me it was "too much" or inappropriate. The only comments it ever receives are along the lines of, "Wow! That is the nicest and most beautiful wristwatch I have ever seen! Where did you get it? That is so cool. I love it!" I hear that kind of stuff all the time, and because I'm semi-retired now, I am almost always in jeans or shorts and a golf shirt or t-shirt. Dressed nicely for a Houston Symphony concert earlier this year, my wife, sister and I may have been the only ones in the audience wearing Breitlings which if true makes the piece even better as far as I'm concerned. I'll post the watches they wore below also. If you take an objective look at these pics and still can honestly say a "handful of mineral deposit" is a bad thing, I would respectfully disagree with you... 8) :D
Cheers,
Ron

Fair play to you there Ron - that was a great response.

And (and I will say this in hushed tones! ) if I was going to own a diamond Breitling then I must admit, your Evo with the grey dial and black croco IS very tastefully done. I totally draw the line at any diamonds on the dial of a men's watch  , but your Evo is nicely understated.

However, I'm going to hold my ground and refuse to crumble to peer pressure! But then as we've said on here before - it'd be a very dull world if we all liked the same thing.

(By the way - that's a great collection you have there - mineral deposits and all!!!! )
