Everyone seems to be waiting to make purchases until Basel 2009 Starts/Ends/Commences.....
What is the reasoning for this? Is Breitling releasing new models? Whats everyone waiting for? I just ordered a SA am I the only guy ordering watches pre-Basel?

Advice...comments....thoughts.....

Basel is always where the new models are announced so that's why people tend to look forward to it.

This year is also the 125th anniversary of Breitling, the 40th anniversary of the first automatic chronograph movement (which Breitling had a part in) and the 20th anniversary of BUSA so there is some expectancy over limited editions.

Finally, and maybe most importantly, Breitling has just announced the B01, and in house designed and built movement - their first, and so people are waiting to see what watches are announced for that movement.

Yes, people are holding on to their wallets due to this... I am sure.
I am currently selling a few watches on this forum and it is quite slow to what it should (?) be.

Myself however just bought a new B, so I dont care about Basel.
If something new pops up that I feel I need it is just back to saving again

The main reason I'm waiting to buy is simple. I need to save money. But Baselworld is a good reason to wait. I'm hoping for new models to choose from. My wish list: new dial and subdial colors for the Skyland, and a Super Chronomat (just dreams). Although I might be carefull what I wish for. It would make my already tough decision of what model I want that much more harder to select.
