Absolutely nothing! I think thats my next watch. What other strap do you have with it? I don't prefer the rubber.

The only thing I'm not crazy about is the crown and rubber strap. Everything else looks great. I love the case back!

Sportback,

The back looks really good maybe you should try wearing it inside out. C'mon now a RUBBER strap. It is beyond me how you can put on that magnificent Bentley and then put on that thing and think it looks good. First of all that "SCAFFOLDING" that goes around the crown looks like a piece of welded sheet metal used to anchor some mechanical apparatus to the outside of a building in a climate where heavy duty materials are needed, the numerals look like a cartoon and it's on a RUBBER strap. What else needs to be said.

Oh dear oh dear - clearly not a lover of PAM's. The scaffolding device is in fact a patented locking device that Panerai developed, when they made the worlds first ever divers watch back in the 1940's, and has continued in their designs ever since (their 2500m submersible is the best and deepest example!!). The numerals also follow their original divers watch designs which are done so as to be easily visible underwater.

The beauty of Panerai's strap arrangement is that a simple screw undoes the strap and there are literally hundreds of alternatives to choose from. The rubber divers strap is always supplied as a option with Panerai and this model also comes with a black calf leather strap with a carbon fibre like pattern so you get 2 in the box anyway when you buy a new PAM.

Finally this model is a flyback version of the 7750 which I don't think is used by any other maker and this model is a limited run of 500 so will have some value in future!!! Nuff said!!!

Two things.

Firstly, that Panerai has been on my top 3 wish list for quite a while. In fact I posted as much on here a couple of months back, so as far as I'm concerned it's totally fantastic! You're a lucky man getting hold of one, Sportback. (I'm not remotely jealous here AT ALL!!!! )

And secondly -

Driver8 - I get my PAM 24C next week and hopefully a 183 Black Seal at a bargain price - I cannot wait as I have been a long time lover of them. On my recent Italy vacation I got to hold 4 of the rarest vintage Panerai's ever (wartime models) - phew!!!

Love the back of that watch, hate the front.

And I may have been in Canada for 10 years, but I haven't forgotten my roots.....

Swing low, sweet chariot,
Coming for to carry me home

ENGLAND!

I thought we were all decendants from England. Our fore fathers just left because they didn't want to pay taxes!

There's very little movement decoration on that watch.. is that typical of Panerai?
