Post subject: | BOUGHT MY FIRST BREITLING! GREAT AD XP IN NY |
After searching on line for the best possible price for either a SA,CE or Navi with serial numbers. I thought I had found them on Prestigtime.com. I walked to my local AD, who was within blocks of my home. My only intention was to try on the watches to see which one fit my wrist better BEFORE I ordered from Pretigetime. SA, nice watch...but too big, and I have and average size wrist. I fell in love with the CE black dial SS pilot. WITHOUT me even asking for a discount the AD told me the msrp for each watch and quoted me a price LOWER then ANY GREY market dealer on line! And If I paid cash....NO TAX! Without any hesitaion I Left that shop with a hugh smile and My new Breitling Chrono Evo on my wrist. They also gave me a couple of free gifts, and told me I should be getting another one from Breitling. Being that I HATE haggeling and shopping around, I couldn't have asked for a better experience purchasing a piece of Jewerly. If anyone wanst a GREAT Recommendation for a AD in the NYC/LI area, PM me. I'll post some pics just as soon as I shave my arms..... MAC |

Wow. Sounds like a great experience! Congrats on the new timepiece! I did purchase my Navi-World from PrestigeTime.com, and wish I could have found a great deal at an AD like you did! ~Brian |

Justin I've mentioned this before on here, but I had a very good experience with my AD in trying to secure a watch for my wife. She wanted a Cockpit Lady, but not one of the standard models - a case / face / bracelet combination that required a custom order. The AD ordered the watch for me, charged me the same as an in stock one, has been great at communication with me while we wait for it to be delivered and has even offered me a loaner watch from his stock if it takes too long or if Christmas / similar special event comes along before the watch arrives. This is the kind of service that will keep me loyal to the AD, while at the same time I know that I am paying a fair price (Driver8 is calling him on the weekend about a Legende). |

Justin My AD is very courtious and informative, he would let me play with the watches all I want and even once offered I take one home for the day to see if I like it (off his wrist not store stock). Discounts have also been good, I got my Chrono Evo for 3800 which is a good price from an AD. All in all I would always buy from him unless I can get a substantially lower price. |

After I read Mac's posting, I was thinking that buying from a local AD and seeing what they could do on price would be better than buying from some store I'll probably never visit again. The only local dealer I've been to is Tourneau on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago where they would never budge on price because of the amount of money around there. I think I may shop around at some of the smaller jewelry stores who are ADs and see what they can do on price. |
