Well, what the topic says: What exactly does the Breitling 2 year warranty cover? For example, does it cover broken sapphires and stuff? And is it like based on everyday use, so if you accidently break it yourself, you cant get it fixed for free? Thanks, cRaSiAn1030 |

Thanks, cRaSiAn1030 I am pretty sure it covers faulty parts on the watch not faults caused by missuse or accident. My client who got a cockpit the same time as me had the misfortune to have a faulty movement, it was repalced within 24 hours no charge. Can you imagine the cost of replacing parts that are damaged accidentally, If they did it it would mean the cost of the watch in the first place would go through the roof! I know my dealer said that if I got scuffs and scratches on the metal they would buff them out gratis for the three years the watch is covered (my dealer adds another year to the warrenty!) which I think goes above and beyond the call for customer service! |

Only covers manufacturer defects, not user-error, miss-use, or accidental damage. |

For example if the crown were to come off, you could argue that it's as a result of a manufacturing defect (in which case the warranty should cover it), but equally an AD could argue it was as a result of pulling it too hard, or dropping it, or anything other than a manufacturing defect. Hopefully if the watch was still in warranty, the AD/Breitling would just suck it up and fix it in the interest of customer service, but sadly that isn't always the case. |

The crown has been subject to much debate. Technically it's excluded, but as you say, it's a short sighted AD that tries to impose that. |
