After months of looking online and deliberating I've finally pulled the trigger on a new Colt Auto II for my wife. She wears a mens watch now and has tried it on so it won't be too big. She is NOT expecting this at all so I can't wait to give it to her. It should be here tomorrow and I'm going to have a hard time waiting until the 14th to give it to her...I plan on taping a small card that says "Can you pay for dinner tonight?" on it...she'll get a kick out of that...

I'll post some pics this weekend while she's out of town. (I know, this thread is worthless without pics!!!!) and some wrist shots when she finally gets her gift.

I can't thank JNelson enough for his recommendation of Govberg Jewlers...top notch, George is the man.

***Here are some pics! Again, I cannot recommend Govberg enough. Free overnight shipping well packaged and arrived without an issue. It looks so good I'm going to have a hard time giving it away...I'm sure she'll appreciate it as much as I do!

Congrats on the purchase and I'm glad George was able to help out.

Good going! Often when you find something you know someone will love, it can be even more exciting than getting something yourself! Can't wait to hear all about it.

Cheers,
Carl

She's gonna love it. I did the same thing when I bought my wife her Colt Ocean a few weeks ago. She was shocked when I said "I'll take it" and then turned to her and said Happy Valentines Day.. early! Least to say, we both have a few months worth of brownie points now! :)

Nice idea! I'm also thinking 'bout buyin' a black SOH 38 on mesh for mine. On the otherside spending that money on new watch for me seems more reasonable. Well 9 more days to think it over.

Maybe you should move to Japan to get more time to think it over. Here the girls are the ones giving their men gifts on the 14th - the return is scheduled for March 14, when it's the mens turn to hand over gifts.

I know I've spend 9 moths in tokio. Guess I am happy with mine, a bunch of roses will do more than a watch no matter how expensive. (just remembering that day will do the business)

So THAT'S why all the display windows I saw in Tokyo seemed to have bottles of booze rather than teddy bears! :D
