Here's the stupid question for the day:

Does a Breitling's listed diameter include the crown, or is it just the case and not including the crown?

Personally, I think the diameter size listed is only a starting point... This is not the most scientific comparison....

But that's not correct either Spartan.

Diameter is case diameter excluding crown, not crystal diameter.

:yeahthat It's the watch case itself (not just the crystal) and does NOT include the crown or any pushpieces.

Older Breitlings used a different method of measurement, the used to use the height of the case, not including lugs for the diameter... which is why you see the Original Chronomat change in width at one point, even tho it is the same size. So keep in mind when looking at older Breitlings, the width quoted on the site is based on the old way.
