Hey. I'm a new guy on this board, so be easy on me.

I recently came into an old model Blackbird (pre-big date). I sure think it is authentic based on the box and papers that came with it and the way it compares to the pictures I've seen here. However, only the numbers seem to have luminescent paint. (I guess they made Blackbirds with both numbered hours and bars for the hours.) The hands and 12 o'clock marker on the bezel look like they have lumin paint, but they don't appear to glow in the dark. Does this seem right?

Also, I got a Chrono Avenger in the same transaction. It only has lumin on the hour markers minute and hour hands and the 12 o'clock marker on the bezel. Seems odd how they do things differently. This one seems to check out with the video on this site and numbers match the papers.

Anyhow, I hope I didn't learn a lesson the hard way. Makes me appreciate the Breitlings I bought from AD's even better, since I have no doubts about them.

Yes, They made both versions of the older BB. Hour markers should also have lume over them.
Older BBs (13050) can be up to 13 years old and I don't think that they had SuperLuminova back then, so it might be faded a bit by now.
Try to charge it next to a bulb for half a minute, it should glow if you are in a dark place.
