What are you guys going to be wearing during the Great Game next Sunday?
I'll be wearing the Steelfish during the first half and my Planet Ocean during the
second half. (All you Limeys -- excuse me, Brits -- who don't get our brand of
football...you're forgiven. :D )

Hey Steve, is this the football that's not really played with your feet, with a World Series consisting of one country, with games that last 17 days...... per quarter, and has teams made up of separate teams that all come on or all go off depending on whether someone needs to catch, or throw, or run, or kick? Is that the one???

(And before anyone get's too hot under the collar, I'm only kidding guys! In actual fact, I don't mind it as a game and I will quite happily sit through the Superbowl. I don't quite understand the huge enthusiasm it generates over the water, but hey I'm British, and I bet most people Stateside don't quite get the enthusiasm that our footie can generate over here. But it's all sport at the end of the day!)

Any chance you'll make a trip down here for the Lions tour D8?

I would dearly LOVE to be on my way to your part of the world in June, Peter! Unfortunately I don't think it's going to be an option as I've already committed the "holiday fund" this year to a couple of trips with the Mrs! :?

Are you planning on catching a few of the games?

(Oops, sorry Steve, we're going a bit of topic here from your original post. )

Sorry for the hijack Steve;

I've managed to secure tickets for the Jo'burg Test, but will try to get to one or two of the earlier games as well.

During the last Lions tour, I literally bumped into Gareth Edwards at the Ellis Park Test

Peter

Hijack off

I can understand that fine, I just do not understand why everyone riots so often over it. I mean really guys, unless you just bet your house on the outcome, it is just a game. If you did bet your house, you are a complete moron who deserves it!!!

I completely agree with you there, Boney.

Unfortunately there ARE plenty of people who consider football their lives............ but then they probably think we're odd with our watches! Each to their own I guess....

As I said on the other post, rugby is more my game anyway........... and fortunately rugby is still a gentleman's sport, generally watched by gentleman too. No segregation of fans there - just light-hearted ribbing/p*ss-taking amongst opposing fans, and then everyone enjoys a few beers together at the end of the match irrespective of who won. In my opinion that's what sport should be all about.

Oops sorry Steve!

I will be wearing my SA, as it's considerable size, weight and presence is absolutely in keeping with the enormous size of most of the protagonists on the field. So yes, my SA will be on my wrist!
