I have just noticed that UTC on Breitling.com (displayed top left) was wrong. I say "was" because having adjusted the time on my computer to UTC, the display on breitling.com switched to the correct time. This seems a bit odd - wouldn't it be more sensible for breitling.com to take a direct feed from a third party source, rather than a user's computer? And what if your computer isn't set to UTC (working about 4 miles from Greenwich, in the winter, this isn't a problem for me). Does it use IP-recognition to locate a user and then adapt the hours accordingly, but still read the minutes from the user's computer? PS. Promise to fix the bezel in my sig soon. Ish. |

Yes it's been mentioned a couple of times, and I agree it's a bit daft for Breitling to use your PC's time! As you say, it'd be just as easy for them to take a feed from an official atomic clock site instead. |
