I happened to acquire a small chip on my Colt Chrono Ocean. The crystal is mineral on these and I was wondering if it can be upgraded to sapphire and what the cost of fixing would be. It isn't that noticable and should probally leave it be, but I am very anal about my watches.

I believe Breitling upgrade to sapphire crystal providing the correct size exists. I know this is true of Navitimers, but I'm not 100% sure about the Colt Chrono Ocean as it may be a less common size. Cost wise I wouldn't have a clue - best to just give Breitling a call and ask for a quote. They should be able to give you a ball-park figure very easily.

I don't think Breitling uses mineral crystal for any of the contemporary models anymore, regardless of what was used when new.

I had called Breitling Service a while back cause I wanted to change my crystal on my Seawolf (doesn't really need it
but....). I was shocked when I heard the 500$ price  I am hoping the employee made a mistake..... :?
I thought it would be ~250-300$ :(

When I sent an old Colt in for a service, they charged me $145 for replacing the crystal.. that was 2 years ago though. The crystal on the Seawolf is especially expensive I think because it has the thickest crystal of all the Breitlings, but $500 seems a bit high.
