Help me choose between Navitimer World or Datora White or bl

Post subject:  Help me choose between Navitimer World or Datora White or bl
Could someone tell me what type he or she like more. I love these two models but can't decide between them.
I want to purchase this first ling in the near future and i'm very exited. (maybe next week)

Navitimer World : White plate/dial.
Navitimer World : Black plate/dial.

Navitimer Datora : White plate/dial.
Navitimer Datora : Black plate/dial.

I can't decide between the two models in the Navitimer line, and i was looking on the net to find info about the two. Secondly i also cant decide what color I want. I found this forum witch has a lot of information. I hope you can help me, thanx!! :D

If I were you I would get a white faced Datora. I like the location of the day of the week along with the cresent moon showing the day. The World is nice, but I don't like the blue writing aroung the dial.

Are you getting a metal or leather band?

i have a black faced datora and love it. I'd happily have white though. I think you wouldn't regret either dial choice. I occasionally think should i have bought white but i'd think same if i had white as the black is great. I have it on steel, also have both brown and black leather and croco and its looks great on all. Very dressy on the croco. Only way it could be improved is if the movement was 1461 so i did have to adjust it. Although its easy to do.

Out of those two models I'd go with the World over the Datora. I really like the complications of Datora but I wish they had made it a bit bigger. Now, the dial gets too busy and hard to read (in my opinion). The World is beautifully built (but the Legende is even more beautiful ;) ) and I was close to end up with one last year but went with the Legende instead.

Both the white and black dial look great, the white one wears quite a bit bigger then the black dial but if that is not an issue for you I'd pick the white one.

Well as I always say, you need to try them on and see which one calls out to you the most. However I will say that I would avoid the black faced Datora - I just find that it's a little too busy and hard to read. That said, I would take the white faced Datora over the World, although I'm also with aleister that I would (and did) take the Legende over both.

Take a look at www.breitling.co.jp/fitting and you can at least get some idea of different combinations.

busy ...... sheesh its a navi thats what they do best :D day to day i dont find my black datora any harder to read than the white cosmo or navi fighters but it is a busy dial i cant argue with that.

im not too intot he whole massive watch thing so i like that fact the black looks smaller its due to the white outer slide rule vs all white face.

like i said id have either

Thank you and others for the responce.

I like the Datora very much, but the size troubles me. I went to the shop the other day I tried them both on. The world is sizewize more stunning then the Datora. I Like the Datora but it's a it small for me (I'm a big guy :D)

Which model or dial I'll take it will be with a metal band. It's more expensive but lookes solid!
I think I'll buy the brown Croq band later this year. For special occasions, the brown croq gives cachet bigtime!

I'll trouble my brains for three more days and then I will buy my first ling. I can't sleep propably anymore hahah.....

If you have a big wrist I would recommend the world. The last time I went to my AD, they had a black world with a black croc band on it. It was stunning and looked like a real piece of jewelry (not like the other lings dont. :wink: ) but if you are going to get a steel band, I would get the white faced World.

Mike,

I think you made the right choice. The white dial World has been on my want list for a while. I really like it on the bracelet! You might want to consider getting a black "croco" strap for it. Changing bracelet to strap would almost make it like you had two different watches.

Now start saving for that Datora :lol:
